Scrum and Agile
2 days
Course description Scrum and Agile 2 days
The Scrum and Agile training is a basic training in Scrum aimed at managers, developers and business people who will be part of teams working according to Scrum. The training starts with a review of the Agile Manifesto, which is one of the pillars of Scrum and creates an understanding of the theory behind Scrum. We then go through the events, roles and artefacts that are mandatory in Scrum, based on the Scrum Guide. We then go through a number of experience based topics based on material and our own experience outside of the Scrum Guide. We go into detail about planning techniques for Scrum, talk about scaling Scrum to multiple teams, frameworks for doing so, and finish with tips for keeping Scrum fresh. We will also have some practical exercises to increase the understanding of Scrum principles.
Course materials include The Scrum Guide and Essential Scrum: A Practical Guide to the Most Popular Agile Process and some downloadable books and notes. The course provides the foundation for the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org, but self-study is required to pass the certification.
The course lasts two days and is held in Swedish or English, but all material is in English.
It is possible to divide the course into several smaller sessions, e.g. shorter morning, afternoon or evening sessions. This can enable more people to participate, as the course does not clash with important meetings or interfere too much with regular working hours.

Implementation
The course can be delivered on-site, in a rented room or online. Our recommendation is a physical course, it provides better retention for the participants.
We offer this course as an in-house course at a fixed price regardless of the number of participants. The number of participants should not exceed 15 to ensure full retention.
It is also possible to create a tailored course based on this course. If a team needs to improve in one area, we can focus on that. If the team is experienced, more advanced concepts can be included. If the participants are managers, we can tailor the training accordingly.
