Scrum and Agile
1 day
Course description Scrum and Agile 1 day
The Scrum and Agile training is a basic training in Scrum aimed at managers, developers and business people who will be part of or lead teams working according to Scrum. The training starts with a review of the Agile Manifesto, which is one of the pillars of Scrum, and creates an understanding of the theory behind Scrum. We then go through the events, roles and artefacts that are mandatory in Scrum, based on the Scrum Guide. Then we go through a number of experience based topics based on material and our own experience outside of the Scrum Guide. We look at planning with Scrum, talk briefly about scaling Scrum to multiple teams, and end with tips for keeping Scrum fresh.
The course material is The Scrum Guide.
The course lasts one day and is held in Swedish or English, but all material is in English.
It is possible to run the course in several smaller sessions, e.g. shorter morning, afternoon or evening sessions. This can allow more people to participate, as the course does not clash with important meetings or interfere too much with regular working hours.

Differences to the 2 day course
This course is only one day and is more orienting and basic. More advanced planning concepts, including tools for estimation, release planning and backlog management are not included. There are not many practical exercises, which may make it more difficult for participants to absorb the concept.
Delivery
The course can be delivered on your premises, in a rented room or online. Our recommendation is a physical course, as it provides better retention for the participants.
We offer this course as an in-house course at a fixed price regardless of the number of participants. However, the number of participants should not exceed 15 in order to get the full benefit of the exercises.
We can also tailor the content of the course to the level of experience of the participants or team. If a team needs to improve in one area, we can focus on that. If the team is experienced, more advanced concepts can be included. We can also tailor the training for managers.
